Remote Design Challenge program for startups and corporates
PROBLEM
Facilitate startups, corporations and local experts in a 8-week Design Challenge. We had to help 20 startup teams composed of students, to work like MSMEs on real-life design challenges and deliver results. The challenges were provided by corporations who gave monetary prizes and mentorship to the 4 best teams. All activities had to be performed remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions.

SOLUTION
The Design Challenge initiative was fully redesigned for virtual delivery. We developed a digital transformation kit for all involved; training, step-by-step guides and templates for facilitation and mentorship in virtual collaboration spaces.

RESULT
We enabled the smooth remote work of more than 150 people from startup, academia and business, “virtually” saving the Design Challenge program during the COVID-19 pandemic. We trained local experts in design thinking and virtual collaboration leaving a lasting capacity in the community.
